lyrics

This is my 21st century prayer
You might not agree, but I don't care
For the thrones of power are meant to be shared
No life is worth more than another, it's not radical to declare
And I pray we may be wise enough to see the light
I know some folks are dim, but you don't have to be that bright
To see we all suffer in a system that eats us from the insides
But it doesn't have to be this way, we just gotta unite and organize
Singin', this is my 21st Century Prayer
You might not agree, but I don't care
Oh I just want a future where we all can breathe the air
And not have to kill or die in someone else's affairs, yeah
And we should have the right to a quality standard of living
And be raised in a society with a quality standard of living
For there's so much money, yet so many people are starving
Yet I met millionaires when I was homeless who had nothing but words for me
Singin', this is my 21st Century Prayer
And it could be yours too if you're not too scared
When revolution comes, oh will you be prepared?
This is my 21st Century Prayer
